Description:

Glogster is an online application used for creating posters.  Finished products can be shared using virtually every modern technological medium: email, Twitter, Facebook, embed, etc.  The posters, known as Glogs, differ from traditional posters because they can incorporate multimedia through a drag-and-drop interface.  Teachers can create templates or students can create their posters from scratch.

Use in Educational Settings

Like many other popular free visual sites, Glogster is an alternative to traditional presentations, in this case to old pen and paper posters.  It is a fun medium for students of all ages.  And while they keep students engaged by providing a creative assignment, teachers can provide challenging projects by asking students to summarize information and reduce it to a single poster.
