Foundation/Corporate Grants
- The NEA Foundation - provides grant money to improve academic achievement and for professional development for teachers.
- Lowe's Toolbox for Educators - $5000 grant to fund a particular school project, such as implementing a garden program to building a playground.
- Target - $700 grant for field trips
- Kids in Need - organization that administers Elmer;s Corporate grants for teachers.
- Intel Corporation -Every year, Intel awards $10,000 cash grants and more than $100,000 in products to one elementary, one middle and one high school that as demonstrated excellence in math and science.
- Best Buy Teach @15 Award - $1,500 awarded to schools (grades 7-12) to help meet their technology needs. Students, age 13-18, register at www.at.com, then they can nominate their school.
Online Charities - teachers request specific items for their classroom and the public donates funding for those items.
