Overview: On this page we link to a variety of current research that explains gamification in education, the effectiveness of gamification in education, the application of gamification in education, and the gaming elements that work in an educational setting.
Overview: On this page we present content that speaks to the effects of games on the brain. We explain that gamification gives the students a drive that failure is not a stopping point. When you fail, try again. This mind set can be applied to student's mastery of educational topics.
Overview: On this page we look at case studies. We look at a guide to implementing gamification into a classroom, the effectiveness of earning badges, how elements of gamification can lead to student engagement and success, and background knowledge for motivation and engagement in education.
Overview: On this page we look at Gamification being highly touted in current research as a way of engaging and motivating learners for "the belief in its potential to foster motivation, behavioral changes, friendly competition and collaboration in different contexts" (Dichev & Dicheva, 2017). However, gamification is not yet seeing ubiquitous use, here we research the issues surrounding implementation.
Added link to History of Gamification in Education with a great graphic, will add more info tonight with references. Still looking for some good videos.
Kerry - I can add in case studies if you didn't get to it yet, I'll take a look. Also, any thoughts on the graphic I found on the History of Gamification page? Keep or don't keep? I referenced it at the bottom of the page.
I see that all the pages were edited. I like that the home page has a short description of what happens on the other pages, but I see typos. Also, I feel as though the descriptions/overview should not have been removed from the individual pages. I want to ask others what they think instead of editing. Thoughts?
The issues page was the only one where the overview was removed and it was copied and pasted to the front page. I don't think there is a need to have a description on the home pages and on the actually page.
If anyone else feels these should be on the actual page and not the homepage we can move them. I just don't think we need it on both places
Hi and sorry. I had planned to fix the typos when I could get to them. (Other projects and family crisis interfered.) I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to put the overviews on all the pages, especially since they looked so good on the home page. I guess they did. The updates look great. Again, sorry for my delay in getting back.
Hey all, the homepage and wiki looks great!
I'm going to go over everything again to check on some pages.
I've added a section in the conclusions so feel free to edit

Thanks Nichole. I will take a look at this and add it next week, unless someone can get to it before I do. :)

Linked all pages to the home page in upper left hand corner, titled each page with same font size and underlining. Please make changes as needed

I like them on the homepage, it helps with navigation. Everyone should feel free to correct typos, at this point we are coming down to the wire.

I like them on the home page too, let's leave it. Also, if there are typos don't ask permission, just fix! :)
