You can even use technology to flip technology! By having students build their knowledge base at home, they can come to class ready to work!

Homework Assignment

Students will watch this video before the course period to become familiar with the process of building a computer system. Students should note the order in which the components are assembled.

Class Assignment

Students will build a computer system during the class period individually or in small groups.  This way, students can apply what they have learned prior to coming to class, and the teacher is present to help support them when needed.  Time is spent more on applying gained skills and knowledge instead of simply listening to lectures.
